Specialists from the Wolfson Medical Center, together with their colleagues from the University of Tel Aviv, conducted a series of experiments and proved that breakfast plays an important role in the health of women, especially those who are prone to polycystic ovary syndrome and, due to this, cannot become pregnant.

Women who have problems with conception due to polycystic ovary syndrome should have a full breakfast, this will have a positive effect on the general condition of the woman, but lunch and dinner do not play such a significant role. According to Dr. D. Weinstein, the caloric content of the daily diet is important, but the time of eating is much more important. In recent years, nutritionists have proven that body weight is significantly affected by the time at which high-calorie foods were eaten. Scientists have also managed to prove that a nutritious breakfast is extremely useful for women who have menstrual irregularities.

Polycystic ovary disease develops in 10% of women of childbearing age. This disease prevents conception by disrupting reproductive function. With polycystic ovary disease, a woman's level of the male hormone androgen increases, which causes menstrual irregularities, acne, hair loss, insulin resistance, and, as a result, diabetes may develop.

The scientific study involved 60 women aged 25 to 39 years, the experiment lasted three months. All women were not overweight and suffered from polycystic ovary disease. During the experiment, the participants were divided into 2 experimental groups, for each group the daily caloric intake of food was set at 1800 kcal. The only difference in nutrition was the time of eating. The first group of women had their main meal in the morning, and the second - at dinner time. The specialists were primarily interested in whether the time of eating would help influence the synthesis of male hormones androgens in the woman's body. During the study, each woman wrote down what foods she ate.

After completing the study, the scientists came to the conclusion that a full and hearty breakfast is very useful for the health of the female body. In women from the first group (who ate a hearty breakfast), the scientists noted a decrease in glucose levels, as well as an insensitivity of the body to insulin by about 8%. The content of the male hormone in the first group of subjects decreased by half. In the second group, which paid more attention to dinner, everything remained at the same level, neither positive nor negative dynamics were noted. Also, many women from the morning group began the ovulation period, which indicates the restoration of reproductive function.

As a result of the conducted research, specialists recommend that women who have polycystic ovaries, problems with conception, hormonal imbalances in the body pay special attention to breakfast, which should be complete and nutritious. In addition, eating high-calorie foods for breakfast will not negatively affect a woman's figure.
