Asian scientists have confirmed the fact that polluted air can cause deadly oncological diseases of the respiratory tract. Recent studies have once again proven the negative impact of dust and the air we breathe every day.
Specialists from the University of Azerbaijan emphasize that developed countries have problems related to air pollution. The atmosphere is polluted with exhaust gases and all kinds of chemicals that can not only cause discomfort, but also cause cancer. Experts are sure that to improve the situation, it is necessary to improve the environmental situation in countries where there is an increase in the number of patients.
The medical journal “Environmental Research Letter” reports that American scientists have reported new statistics on annual mortality related to environmental problems in the world. US experts have proven that more than two and a half million annual deaths are related to polluted air and diseases related to environmental problems in the world. more than two million adults die annually from lung cancer or other equally dangerous respiratory diseases caused by fine particles in polluted air.
About 400,000 people die annually from rapidly developing bronchial asthma (the destruction of the ozone layer can negatively affect the respiratory tract and contribute to the occurrence of asthma attacks). Employees of the University of North Carolina (USA) reported that, according to statistics, the greatest number of deaths associated with air pollution are observed in Asian countries. The population size, the huge amount of waste emissions into the atmosphere affect the ecological situation in Asian countries. Scientists do not consider climate change, which has been noticed in recent years due to the development of industry, to be too significant and dangerous. Respiratory diseases begin, mainly, due to small particles that get from polluted air into the lung tissue.
British scientists have recently reported that polluted air can cause not only respiratory diseases, but also cardiovascular diseases. The English reported that living in countries with highly developed industrial activity increases the chance of dying from heart failure several times. Another study, also authored by specialists from Foggy Albion, has proven that the environmental situation in the EU countries reduces life expectancy by several years. In China and Japan, life expectancy has decreased by 2.5-5% over the past 25 years, and experts attribute the changes only to the environmental situation.
Unfortunately, at the moment, experts are unable to offer a real solution to the current situation. Air pollution is one of the most pressing problems of the modern world, but it can only be solved by changing the production technologies and use of vehicles.
