A study has found that new parents have less sex. But they argue a lot more. Having children can ruin a couple's relationship, according to research. The survey found that nearly four in ten new mothers and fathers find their partners less attractive after having a baby, and 63 percent of respondents admitted that their sex life has deteriorated dramatically. Another 61 percent of parents say they have argued about parenting methods.

More than a third of those surveyed said they argued more in general. 42 percent of women did not involve their husbands or partners after giving birth, blaming them for the worse financial situation and increased household responsibilities. Some young mothers said they resented their husbands' approach to fatherhood, believing they should take on more responsibility for child care, while men were more likely to complain about women's parenting methods.

More than six out of ten parents said that their sexual relations have worsened since the birth of children, 28 percent of respondents have sex once a month, five percent - once a year and seven percent do not have sex at all. Psychologists recommend in this situation not to focus on the child, but to put interpersonal relations with the spouse first.
