Researchers from Alabama (USA) have found that certain foods can help fight inflammation. Inflammation is a completely normal reaction of the human body, but if the process drags on for a long time, healthy tissues are destroyed.

Inflammation is a process that occurs in a living organism in response to damage to the cellular structure, or a process aimed at eliminating irritants in the damaged area.

The main goal of inflammatory processes is to detect and destroy toxic substances that form in damaged tissues, eliminating the possibility of their further spread in the body. Obesity, in turn, causes cardiovascular diseases, physical inactivity and creates favorable conditions for the development of metabolic syndrome. Nutritionists advise all people who suffer from excess weight to pay attention to certain products that will help them lose weight and reduce inflammatory processes in the body. First of all, experts advise including high-fiber foods in your daily diet.

Nutritionists have compiled a list of products that are essential for anyone who wants to stop inflammatory processes in the body:

  • any citrus fruits. Citrus fruits contain a large amount of vitamin C and vitamin E, which are considered the best antioxidants. Antioxidants are natural substances that can slow down oxidation processes in the body. There is a widespread belief that products containing natural antioxidants can slow down the aging process.
  • any fresh green vegetables (cucumbers, green bell peppers, cabbage, spinach) and green salad leaves. Green vegetables contain a large amount of vitamin K, which is a fat-soluble vitamin. The substance plays a significant role in the healthy functioning of the genitourinary system, in metabolism, and it is also indispensable in the process of calcium absorption in the body.

Many experts believe that products containing lycopene can be consumed as a preventive measure against dangerous oncological diseases.   • red sea fish (salmon, trout, chum salmon). Fatty sea fish contains healthy fatty acids, which are recommended for consumption even by those people who adhere to strict diets.
