As a rule, the hottest month of the year in Ukraine and Russia is most often July, referring to this experience, experts gave several instructions on maintaining the microclimate in work offices to preserve the health of employees, which employers will have to implement by July.
The temperature limit should not be higher than 26-28 degrees Celsius.
Air humidity should be reduced, but not fall below 55%.
The air in the workplace should not be stagnant; ventilation should be used to ensure its circulation.
If the temperature in the workplace is higher than the specified one, the management must carry out health measures among the employees, i.e. install air conditioners, set up flow ventilation, equip a room for rest with a cool temperature, and introduce breaks at work for cooling.
How to dress?
During the hot weather, synthetics should disappear from your wardrobe as a class. The skin cannot breathe under them, sweat accumulates, causing irritation, "heat rash" and the corresponding smell. The best material in the heat is linen (it even has the property of cooling the skin), silk and cotton. Moreover, it is better to choose loose outfits. Replace strict pencil skirts with dresses and sundresses of an acceptable length, business suits - with linen trousers and a cotton shirt with short sleeves.
The rules of the office dress code oblige women to always wear tights, but they can be neglected if you want to keep the skin on your legs healthy. In extreme cases, wear nude fishnet stockings.
In such heat, footwear should also be ventilated: light fabric shoes, moccasins, sandals, flip-flops. Closed shoes or boots can provoke the appearance of fungus. You should also forget about heels until better times: the heat often causes swelling of the legs.
Women are advised to avoid wearing large and numerous pieces of jewelry: they will stick to the body and rub against damp skin.
Find the courage to not use makeup: powder, mascara and eyeshadow that runs will certainly not add to your attractiveness.
What to drink?
Do not drink cold water if a cold or sore throat is not in your plans. The water should be at room temperature, without gas, sugar or dyes. Hot tea, preferably green, will also refresh you. Cranberry and lingonberry fruit drinks, water with lemon juice and freshly squeezed juices, especially orange, help to cool down. And it is better to forget about the main office drink - coffee for now.
What is there?
In the heat, food should be light: fish, lots of fresh vegetables, fruit. Salads, okroshka from young beets, bread kvass, kefir, sorrel are useful. As a snack, take a fresh cucumber to work - it is pleasant to crunch on, and, having cut off a circle, you can wipe your face.
If the management is unable to implement the instructions or maintain the temperature parameters below the established limits, then it is recommended to reduce the working day in July. All managers of organizations and enterprises, regardless of the form of ownership, are obliged to bring the workplaces of their employees in accordance with the requirements of the Sanitary Standards.
