All trash bins have disappeared from Kyiv; they have not been in the usual places in the center for some time now, and they have disappeared in other areas as well.

There are none at the metro stations, nor on Independence Square, nor near the benches on Khreshchatyk, nor near the Zoloti Vorota metro station, nor on Gorodetskoho, Lyuteranskaya, Bogomolets streets, nor on Kontraktova Square.

Residents are forced to either carry their trash with them or throw it right under their feet, which is what many do.

In the absence of trash bins, papers, cups, and cigarette butts are thrown in corners and simply on the streets. Thus, a pile of cigarette butts was thrown near the new map-indicator at the Khreshchatyk metro station.

"This is just some kind of horror! Yesterday I had to take all the papers from the right bank to the left - home. What wildness! When will the stupid heads of officials get at least a little bit of sense! I'm already fed up with these crazy ideas of Popov!" - indignantly said Irina, a resident of the capital.

"We need to write some kind of collective appeal to the mayor's office or organize a flash mob and bring all the garbage to the Kyiv City State Administration. It's not normal that there is nowhere to throw it away!" added Kyiv resident Elena.

An employee of the Kyiv City State Administration explained to "Ukrainska Pravda. Kyiv" that the Main Directorate for Improvement is currently looking for "explosion-proof" urns.

"As far as I know, they are currently thinking about how to make the urns safe. But what people should do until then, I don't know," he said.

It is unknown when exactly the problem will be solved. The Main Department for Improvement of the Kyiv City State Administration has not picked up the phone all morning.

Earlier, the city authorities stated that the concrete trash bins were removed during the holidays for the safety of Kyiv residents and visitors. This decision was linked to the explosions in Dnepropetrovsk.

However, three weeks later, there are still no urns.
