It turns out that it is not enough to "get up on the right side of the bed" in the morning. It is also important which side of the bed a person sleeps on, and feng shui has nothing to do with it.

English scientists have determined that the right side of the bed for sleeping directly affects a person's mood and even success. The study involved thousands of volunteers who slept on certain sides of the bed and later talked about their day and even their health.

The experts conducted a survey of the people being studied and came to an unambiguous conclusion: the most optimal side for sleeping is the left. Those who slept on the left had more optimistic views on the surrounding reality, treated their loved ones and colleagues with more love. Such people easily made friends, they were “lucky” with their work and they did not complain about a bad mood and health.

Some skeptics point out that the percentages in this study are not very large, but the trend towards "left-sided" sleep is clear.

Psychologists claim that the obtained results can negatively affect the relationships of particularly impressionable couples, who will now "fight" for the right to sleep on the left side of the bed. Here, scientists make an amendment: this observation does not apply to those spouses who are forced to sleep on the right side "willy-nilly". It concerns only people who spend the night alone. For the rest, to be in a good mood, it is enough to simply get a good night's sleep, which can be ensured by a properly selected mattress and bedding.

In search of the "right" side of the bed, the company's employees paid attention to another important point: it was discovered that a considerable number of married couples, being in excellent relations with each other, nevertheless sleep not in the same bed, but in different beds and even rooms. Most people name the snoring of the spouse or restless behavior in sleep as the reasons for such behavior. A smaller number of the surveyed volunteers prefer to sleep with children or pets to the marital bed.

In addition, experts have determined the optimal distance between spouses during sleep. For example, couples who sleep at a distance of no more than three centimeters from each other may not worry about the quality of their family relationships.

It is not yet clear what the results of this study can be linked to. However, scientists have considered the obtained fact proven, and recommend that each person draw the appropriate conclusions for themselves. So far, only one question remains open: what should people do who cannot sleep on one side of the bed, uncontrollably moving and tossing during sleep? Experts reserve the right to conduct further research, and we can only hope that soon we will receive comprehensive answers to all the questions that interest us.

This study was initiated by a manufacturing company that specializes in bedding and bedroom furniture.
