A loving mother of four children died of cardiac arrest a few years after the breast augmentation surgery. Breast implants awakened the women sleeping in the body of the bacterium tuberculosis.

Most of her life Englishwoman Kerry Elia hated flat breasts and dreamed of acquiring more enviable forms. For many years she saved up money for a plastic surgery, that the mother of four children was not easy to do. But finally, the dream came true, and the doctors performed an operation to increase the breast.

The increase in the bust led to the activation of tuberculosis in women

However, the breast implants that cost Kerrie 3,750 pounds, slowly began to kill her. After a year and a half, the woman began to cough heavily. X-ray images showed the presence of a dangerous lung disease - tuberculosis. Doctors are not sure where exactly Kerry picked up this infection. But there is a theory that tuberculosis bacteria have been in the body of a woman for many years in an inactive, dormant state. And an increase in the bust led to their activation. However, no one in her family doubted for a second that antibiotics would kill tuberculosis, which seemed to happen soon after.

But after a while one of the implants exploded, and a large hole appeared in the chest, through which blood began to flow. The hospital found out that tuberculosis was back, and its bacteria "devoured" scar tissue. The risk of infection was very high, the implants had to be removed. A year later they were put back again, but then a second implant exploded, and they were finally removed.

Breast augmentation left orphans of four children Repeated tests showed the presence in the body of Staphylococcus aureus, which was successfully cured. A year later, tuberculosis returned again, leading to the formation of cones in the chest. It was not a tumor, but a scar tissue from previous operations, which was infected. Doctors advised Kerry to remove her left breast, but she decided on a double mastectomy to finish all the sores once and for all.

Damned tuberculosis returned a third time a few weeks after the operation. This time the woman did not react to the medications, and the surgeons had to remove part of the lung. The operation ended successfully, and Kerry was discharged home. A month later, her bleeding started. A new hospitalization followed, this time the last. Two days later, the woman died in intensive care from a cardiac arrest caused by extensive internal blood loss.
