The uniform is ironed, the shoes are polished, the backpack is folded. It seems that the child is completely “packed” and ready to go to first grade, but let's check if this is true?
It turns out that psychologists call the beginning of the school year a "physiological storm" for first-graders. In a short time, kids need to learn to absorb a huge amount of information, meet new friends, get used to a new daily routine and diet. In response to such adaptation, the child's body strains all its internal systems and, if they are weakened, it begins to get sick. Due to the increased load, children quickly get tired, become irritable, and eat poorly. In addition, all this occurs against the background of hormonal surges: at the age of seven, a sharp increase in height begins, as well as restructuring of the nervous, respiratory, digestive and other systems. It is estimated that by the end of the first quarter, up to 60% of students lose weight, many experience poor sleep, loss of appetite, and another 14-16% of children experience nervous tension. Are you ready for such a school?
New notebooks are not enough for quick and easy adaptation. Much more important for a child is support, attention, patience from parents and care for his health. First of all, a schoolchild needs vitamins. Research by the Institute of Nutrition of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences has shown that hypovitaminosis has become a common phenomenon among schoolchildren, and this has a negative impact on their growth and development, normal metabolic processes, resistance to infections and performance. According to published data from the Ministry of Health and Social Development, over the past 10 years, schoolchildren have become ill more often by 9.3%, while 21% of children suffer from chronic forms of illnesses. In this regard, the child should receive enough fresh vegetables and fruits and, if possible, ready-made vitamin complexes. However, it is important that vitamins are not only taken, but also absorbed during digestion.
Child nutrition is a complex issue in general. Rospotrebnadzor recently sounded the alarm: it turned out that due to an improperly composed diet, over 30% of Russian children suffer from growth retardation. In addition, unusual school lunches and stress cause indigestion, metabolic disorders, dysbacteriosis, allergies in schoolchildren and other troubles. Proper organization of nutrition only partially solves these problems. In order for the body and intestines to cope with all the tests on their own in the future, it is also important to normalize metabolic processes. The main assistants in this matter are beneficial bacteria living in kefir, yogurt, and curdled milk. And the natural medicinal product Hilak Forte can create favorable conditions for their development. It also normalizes the natural synthesis of vitamins B and K, which are especially important in preschool and school age. It has long been known that a lack of vitamin B2 leads to growth retardation, B5 - to delayed physical and mental development, B9 - to memory impairment, anemia and loss of strength, K - to blood diseases, etc.
Fatigue is another enemy of a schoolchild. It leads to a decrease in mental processes, academic performance, and stress. A proper daily routine helps to cope with it. Provide your child with a daytime nap, like in kindergarten, and do homework at 4-6 p.m., when the peak of brain activity occurs.
In addition, with the beginning of the school year, children's physical activity decreases, and the normal growth of the child, thought processes and posture also depend on it. This means that it is necessary to find time during the day for active games, walks, physical education. Experts advise to allocate at least 3-4 hours a day for them.
Thus, in order for the child to be ready for school, it is not enough to pack his backpack, it is important to monitor his health, organize the correct daily routine, nutrition, sleep and provide a favorable environment in the family. Then the "storm" will pass by: the child will quickly adapt to the new environment, find friends and strength for full development.
