Recently, experts have found a trend of more and more women voluntarily agreeing to have an abortion because they are very concerned about their own financial situation. Doctors have found that more and more women are considering induced termination of pregnancy because they cannot afford the cost of raising a child. Women are also delaying starting a family due to an increase in mental health problems. Observers estimate that the economic downturn has affected women's desire to have children and start a family.
The middle class has been hit the hardest, as a group of 300 doctors who conducted the study found. So more and more patients are asking doctors to terminate their pregnancies because they are afraid for their precarious financial situation. Of all the conditions, this is the deciding factor for many women. But some of them simply want to be talked to and dissuaded. Others want to postpone having a child until their family situation stabilizes. Of course, this only applies to unplanned pregnancies.
Overall, the number of abortions among women under 25 has decreased, but the number of abortions among older women has increased. The study also found other reasons why women have abortions. These include various illnesses, alcohol abuse, and digestive problems. And, of course, mental health problems, which inevitably become a consequence of the economic crisis. People are prone to such disorders as panic attacks, anxiety, obsessive ideas, and compulsive disorders.
