Scientists have stated that hugging is good for your health, both mentally and physically.
Experts conducted an experiment involving people with one or another disease and found that hugs have a positive effect on a person's health and general well-being, and also help to improve their opinion of their own person and their abilities. Based on the findings, experts recommend hugging your loved ones, family, friends, and even acquaintances every day.
As studies have shown, during hugs, special substances begin to be released in the human body, which contribute to recovery. In addition, these substances helped people in making important decisions and increased the level of trust in others. According to experts, a person feels more trust in the one who hugs him, this is embedded in his psychological nature. This is what activates the production of special substances in the body, such as oxytocin and adrenaline, thanks to which a person becomes kinder, more responsive and has an optimistic mood.
To confirm their theory about the effect of hugs on health, specialists conducted an experiment in one of the hospitals, where patients were divided into two groups. The first group of volunteers had to hug their relatives or loved ones every day, and patients from the second group were forbidden from such displays of affection. After some time, the specialists were extremely surprised by the results: patients from the first group recovered faster, unlike the participants of the second group.
As a result, scientists concluded that hugs are undoubtedly beneficial for a person and improve his mental and physical condition.
Hugs are a special form of physical intimacy. Expressing feelings in this way involves embracing and drawing another person to oneself. As a rule, hugs express strong love, recognition, friendship, sympathy, etc. It is worth noting that this form of physical intimacy is considered one of the important forms of non-verbal communication.
Scientists started talking about the health benefits of hugs a few months ago. A group of specialists from the USA proved that hugs can replace hardening and other methods of strengthening the immune system. As studies have shown, people who often hug their loved ones get sick less often. The warmth of another person during a hug stimulates the immune system, improves mood and overall well-being.
For the study, scientists selected 400 volunteers who liked to hug other people. Scientists tried to infect all the participants with colds, but all attempts were in vain. People who liked to hug and did it at least several times a day almost never got colds, or had them in a mild form. It was also found that regular hugs help reduce the level of stress hormones in the body, which is beneficial for modern people, given the current pace of life.
