A widely known culinary spice mix curry, based on dried turmeric root, helps reduce the development of breast cancer. In their studies, scientists found that curcumin helps shrink tumors by about 1/3, and also inhibits the development of pathogenic cells (all experiments were conducted on laboratory mice). Scientists have developed a special implant made from curry powder that will help treat breast cancer in women. In the course of numerous studies, scientists have determined that curcumin has excellent anti-cancer properties. However, a person is not able to eat enough spice to effectively fight cancer, and most spices are digested in the digestive system.

A research team at one university decided to deliver the spice directly to the cancerous growth. Curry powder was placed in small dissolvable capsules, each capsule was 2 mm long and each contained 200 mg of powder.

During laboratory studies, scientists divided rodents into two groups with transplanted cancer cells. The first group of mice was implanted with two capsules with spices, while the second group had an additional amount of seasonings added to their diet. The researchers observed the rodents for four months. As it turned out, the consumption of spices in food did not affect the development of the tumor, but in the group of rodents with implants, the tumor progressed much less.

Curcumin has long been known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Scientists believe that this spice can also block the action of hormones that stimulate tumor growth in the mammary gland. At this stage, specialists are finding out whether the introduction of curcumin directly into the cancerous growth will help increase the effectiveness of treatment. In addition, the research group is conducting a study of the effect of curcumin on colon cancer. Scientists have reason to believe that this spice can significantly increase the effect of chemotherapy. The results will not be known until next year.

In addition to the fact that curcumin has an anti-cancer effect, scientists suggest that daily consumption of this spice will help prevent Alzheimer's disease and senile dementia in the future. Specialists from the United States found that people who added curry to their diet several times a week had a significantly reduced risk of developing senile dementia or Alzheimer's. Curry is based on powdered dried turmeric root, which has long been known for its good medicinal properties. In addition, turmeric helps prevent the spread of amyloid plaques in the brain, which results in dementia. In addition, small doses of turmeric are a good preventive measure for thrombosis and various heart pathologies (stroke, myocardial infarction, etc.).

In addition, curcumin promotes fat burning, making it a valuable supplement in dietary nutrition.
