A recent study has shown that many Canadian psychiatrists support the idea that placebo has many benefits.

A recent poll confirmed that every fifth psychiatrist in Canada uses a placebo in his practice. In addition, more than 35% of physicians reported that subtherapeutic doses of drugs are prescribed (ie, doses that are generally below the recommended minimum doses) to treat their patients.

In addition, the survey found that more than 60% of doctors believe that placebo has a therapeutic effect. Many psychiatrists attach great importance to the effect of placebo on the mind and body of a person. And only 2% of psychiatrists believe that placebo does not give any clinical benefits.

However, the researchers concluded that many physicians, for ethical reasons, are still not ready to openly discuss whether it is possible to re-enter placebo in the medical environment as an effective treatment for certain diseases.
