Among scientists, physiognomy was never considered a serious science and judgments based on observation of a human face were not taken seriously. Moreover, some with special derision called physiognomy "pseudoscience." We can imagine what was the surprise of the skeptics, after the statement made the other day by researchers at the University of Prague. Scientists say that the degree of possible influence on other people, directly depends on the facial features, as well as on the color of the human eye.

Influence implies the possibility of influencing others, a peculiar gift of persuasion and the ability to provoke inexplicable trust even among strangers. Czech scientists conducted an anonymous survey of quite a large number of people of different sex and age. The interviewees were shown slides with photos of people of different types of appearance and distributed questionnaires with questions in which it was suggested to assess the degree of trust they could feel by looking at the pictures.

The results somewhat surprised analysts: based on the survey, scientists could accurately say that the most blind confidence among the population is used by brown-eyed representatives of the male sex. The opposite opinion is made about blue-eyed blondes: they do not seem too reliable.

If we talk not only about the color of the eyes, then the most "honest" people are men with large rounded facial forms. Surprisingly, women, regardless of external data, in principle, inspire strangers less trust than men.

This experiment was far from being the first experience to determine the type of person who can have someone around him. But if you take into account the seriousness of the recent study at Charles University, you can state that the previously known data was not particularly accurate. In the information known from publications that specialize in physiognomy, it was pointed out that blue-eyed and fair-haired people are considered to be the most simple-hearted and honest, and brown-eyed and dark-haired are the burnt-out people, chaotic merry fellows.

From data that are still considered authoritative, one can overlook the fact that people with thin, colorless lips usually turn out to be gossips and do not miss the opportunity to gloat. Those who have a heavy "English" chin are people who are easily given volitional decisions. A large fleshy chin is a sign of generosity and frankness. Selfish and narcissistic people are easy to recognize by the nose with a hump, an acute chin. A high, open forehead is a sign of a clear mind and an open heart.

At the expense of the eye, the study so far can not be called complete. On the one hand, people with bright eyes have always been considered more open, honest, not capable of deception. On the other hand, an anonymous survey shows that people at a subconscious level do not trust blue-eyed and gray-eyed blondes. This pattern is unlikely to be absolutely groundless: for sure people base their judgments on unfamiliar people on some personal experience, which suggests who really can not be trusted.

Also from the results of the study, it can be concluded that a person with large facial features and widely planted eyes seems more honest than the possessor of smaller facial features.
