Among scientists, physiognomy has never been considered a serious science and judgments based on observation of the human face were not taken seriously. Moreover, some with particular mockery called physiognomy "pseudoscience". We can imagine how surprised the skeptics were after the statement made recently by researchers from the University of Prague. Scientists claim that the degree of possible influence on other people directly depends on facial features, as well as the color of a person's eyes.

Influence implies the ability to influence others, a kind of persuasive gift and the ability to inexplicably trust even strangers. Czech scientists conducted an anonymous survey of quite a large number of people of different genders and ages. The respondents were shown slides with photographs of people of different appearances and were given questionnaires with questions asking them to assess the degree of trust they were able to feel when looking at the photographs.

The results surprised analysts somewhat: based on the survey, scientists could say for sure that brown-eyed males enjoy the greatest blind trust among the population. The opposite opinion was formed about blue-eyed blondes: they do not seem very reliable.

If we talk not only about eye color, then the most "honest" people think of men with large rounded facial shapes. Surprisingly, women, regardless of their external data, in general inspire less trust in strangers than men.

This experiment was far from the first one conducted to determine the type of person who is able to win over others. But if we take into account the seriousness of the study conducted recently at Charles University, it can be argued that the previously known data was not particularly accurate. Information from publications specializing in physiognomy indicated that blue-eyed and fair-haired people are considered the most simple-minded and honest, while brown-eyed and dark-haired people are life-burners, chaotic merrymakers.

From the data that is still considered authoritative, it can be noted that people with thin colorless lips are usually gossips and do not miss the opportunity to gloat. Those who have a heavy "English" chin are people who easily make strong-willed decisions. A large fleshy chin is a sign of generosity and straightforwardness. Selfish and narcissistic people are easily recognized by a humped nose, a sharp chin. A high open forehead is a sign of a clear mind and an open heart.

As for the eyes, the study still cannot be called complete. On the one hand, people with light eyes have always been considered more open, honest, and incapable of deception. On the other hand, an anonymous survey shows that people subconsciously do not trust blue-eyed and gray-eyed blondes. Such a pattern is unlikely to be completely groundless: people probably base their judgments about strangers on some personal experience that tells them who really cannot be trusted.

The results of the study also suggest that a person with large facial features and wide-set eyes appears more honest than someone with smaller facial features.
