A child whose chances of being born were negligible because of pathology - the girl was born with a half heart - will soon celebrate her first birthday.

Daisy Davidson doctors were doomed to death in the womb, when the congenital heart disease and atresia of the tricuspid valve were diagnosed. They advised the mother to have an abortion, explaining this by the fact that such a diagnosis for a child is literally a verdict, since most of the children born die without even having lived a year.

Congratulate the baby with her first year of life on September 27, all will gather - those who believed in the miracle and those who advised parents not to torment themselves or the child. Nevertheless, it took almost a year and Daisy grows a healthy and happy girl, surrounded by the care of loving mom and dad.

"At first, the doctors thought that there was a hole in the heart of the child, but later it turned out that his half was missing at all," says Stephanie's mom. "After we explained everything and explained what it threatens, we could not think that we could celebrate the first birthday of our baby."

The pregnancy of Stephanie Davidson proceeded well and did not cause doctors any fears. But during the ultrasound examination on the twentieth week, the doctors found the child's heart darkening. They diagnosed heart disease.

Concerned parents asked for additional advice at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow. It was there that they heard the shocking news that the child lacks half the heart.

Stephanie confesses that she thought about aborting pregnancy, but she decided to take a chance.

She carried the child to the end of the term. Daisy was born weighing 3 kg 200 grams and was under the supervision of doctors five days before mother and baby were allowed to leave the hospital.

Everything went well until the baby caught a cold on the eve of Christmas. Because of the infection, her health deteriorated sharply, she refused to eat and stopped going to the toilet.

The heart surgery was planned for February, but the doctors, having examined the girl, decided to operate Daisy urgently, otherwise the heart could not cope with the additional burden.

The operation lasted for four hours, all this time surgeons fought for the baby's heart to function normally, and they succeeded. Daisy Davidson became the smallest patient in Scotland, who underwent heart surgery.

Now the girl makes her first steps and pleases her parents. Stephanie advises everyone who heard a terrible diagnosis, not to hurry, not to deprive a child who has not yet appeared, life, but to hope and believe in a miracle.
