Personal hygiene is not just a phrase that many people think of as brushing their teeth or washing their face in the morning. In fact, it is a scientific field that studies the optimal conditions for normal human life and the factors that ensure people live a long and healthy life.

Certain requirements that a person must follow to remain in full health are called rules of personal hygiene.

Ears

Many people are absolutely sure that after taking water procedures with soap and a washcloth, they come out of the bathroom clean and fragrant, like babies. But this is not entirely true. A clear sign of carelessness is unwashed ears, which not only look unaesthetic, but can also be harmful to health. You need to monitor the cleanliness of your ears regularly and wash them in the morning and evening. If you feel a blockage in your ear, you can use a special solution of boric acid and a medical syringe to rinse it. However, this can only be done if you are absolutely healthy and the cause of blocked ears is not a disease. Also, experts do not recommend using cotton swabs often, because this can provoke the formation of earwax plugs, clogging the earwax back.

Nose

Every person has suffered from a runny nose at least once in their life and experienced the discomfort of nasal congestion. Drops and sprays come to the rescue, helping us breathe normally. However, their purpose is not to treat, but only to temporarily ease nasal breathing during allergic reactions or colds. Sometimes it is very addictive, and it seems to a person that normal breathing without such drops becomes impossible. This can lead to addiction and uncontrolled use of such drugs. The fact is that these drugs lead to strong contractions of the vessels in the nasal cavity, and after their effect ends, the vessels begin to expand even more. Next time, if you are tormented by a runny nose again, try using gentle treatment methods, for example, douching with salt water. Saline solution is prepared from sea salt and regular water. It is suitable for both allergic and cold-related runny noses.

Nails

nail hygiene

In particular, ingrown nails can cause a lot of problems and inconvenience. Often, the cause of the toe damage is an improper pedicure or too tight shoes. This problem is not as harmless as it seems at first, so it is better to immediately contact a surgeon who will remove the ingrown nail. The consequences of improper care or wearing uncomfortable shoes can be purulent-inflammatory diseases of the toes.

Teeth

Oral hygiene is an essential part of general hygiene. Brushing your teeth is not just moving the brush left and right and up and down. Let's start with the fact that you need to brush your teeth twice a day - after breakfast and in the evening, before going to bed. You need to brush from the outside, from the inside and on the chewing surface of your teeth. Your toothbrush is also very important. If you see that it is extremely worn out and its bristles are sticking out in different directions, you should not continue to damage your gums with it. Be sure to change your brush every 3-6 months and do not forget to use dental floss to clean the spaces between your teeth.
