Dr. Milton South specializes in malignant lung disease, congenital lung defects, and lung transplantation. Over the past 18 years, he has performed more than seven hundred lung transplants.
He received his medical education at the School of Medicine of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil; completed surgical residency in thoracic surgery at the Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and headed the surgical department of the hospital in Porto Alegre (the capital of the state). He completed an internship in thoracic surgery in British and American clinics.
Dr. Saute has lived in Israel since 1989.
An experienced surgeon and highly professional diagnostician, Dr. Saute is a member of the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons and the Chairman of the Israeli Association of Thoracic Surgeons. He has publications in medical scientific journals and lectures at the Faculty of Medicine of Tel Aviv University.
