A new invention of Californian specialists can turn the notion of medicine. Scientists have created an unusual device - a nanorubka, which measures 100 times smaller than a grain of sand. Nanorobot is able to deliver medicines to various parts of the body, by the way, inspired scientists to create such a robot movement of conventional fish.

Materials for the manufacture of nanorubki were gold (head and tail), nickel (body) and silver (joints for connecting all parts of the nanorobot). Motion to the robot is provided by electromagnetic oscillations, which act on the nickel parts, and the speed and direction are ensured by the frequency and orientation of the magnetic field.

According to the developers, the nanorubic can be useful for non-invasive methods of treatment and will allow working with individual cells of the body.

By the way, nanorhybka is not the first robot of such a plan, created to transport medicines in the human body. Other experts have created a robot in the form of a tail of a bacterium, but the effectiveness of the driving force is undoubtedly greater for a nanorob. But while scientists do not know how to remove a metallic nanorobot from the body, after it performs its functions. Now the developers are trying to create a biodegradable version of the nanorabka.

The idea to create a nanobot in the form of a fish belongs to Jingsin Li and his colleagues from the University of California. Now scientists are considering the possibility of using nanorubki for medical purposes. According to Professor Lee the device is suitable for the introduction of drugs, manipulation of single cells, low-traumatic procedures. External magnets that guide the nanorobot will help deliver the medicine to a specific part of the body. Scientists from other research centers noted that the idea of creating a robot in the form of a fish is terrific. Justin Gooding of the University of Australia noted that his colleagues did a hard job, based on the transport system of the body, which moves the particles into separate parts of the body.

It is worth noting that scientists have begun to study the means of active transportation not so long ago and, according to existing studies, it is clear that particles for active movement can be made smaller and faster. 

Other research centers also develop nanobots to deliver drugs directly to affected areas. Most scientists use screw propellers (something similar is found on the tails of bacteria), but experiments have shown that the pulsating movements of nanorubes are more effective.

Spot delivery of drugs to the affected organs or parts of the body that can provide nanorobots, will solve a number of problems: to work exclusively on diseased cells, to avoid the use of drugs of complex action. According to scientists, the only possibility to act point-wise is precisely the use of nanorobots - special devices that are controlled by external sources (ultrasonic waves, magnetic fields, etc.) and carry medicines to their destination.
