Some media outlets disseminated false information, which is in fact untrue, in order to discredit the activities of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and political speculation.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine was accused of not buying a combined vaccine to prevent infectious diseases (tetanus, pertussis, diphtheria, hemophilia, poliomyelitis) from OOO GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ukraine, which offered a price of UAH 156.76. For one dosage. Instead, according to information received in the media, the Ministry of Health purchased a vaccine at a price of 250 UAH. From another manufacturer.
According to the State Registry of Medicinal Products, the GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ukraine company mentioned in the media is not registered by the supplier or manufacturer of the combined vaccine for the prevention of infectious diseases (pertussis, diphtheria, hemophilia, tetanus, poliomyelitis). The manufacturer of this vaccine is the French company Sanofi Pasteur.
In addition, in a letter to the Ministry of Health, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ukraine reported back in April that it can supply the following combination vaccines to Ukraine: for the prevention of infectious diseases (tetanus, pertussis, diphtheria, hemophilia, poliomyelitis).
According to the MOH, information in the media that the vaccines supplied by GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ukraine and Sanofi Pasteur are completely identical and that GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ukraine is ready to supply vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases at a price half the price agreed to buy the Ministry of Health Sanofi Pasteur.
Also in the Ministry of Health noted that the information, voiced in the media, according to which the Ministry of Health refused to conclude an agreement on the supply of vaccines worth 113060000 UAH, does not correspond to reality. With "GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ukraine" on the results of negotiations.
The above-mentioned agreement was signed on December 1 of this year after the completion of final negotiations.
Also, false information on the application of the Ministry of Health is a message about the purchase by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine of a drug for the treatment of HIV / AIDS patients "Zinovudin / lamivudine" at inflated prices (exceeding the price was allegedly 26 million UAH).
But as of December 2 of this year, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has not yet completed the process of state procurement for these positions and the negotiation process regarding the final price per unit of the drug continues. In the media, according to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, deliberately spread false information.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health urged all patient organizations and the media not to disseminate false information for political purposes or to discredit the work of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, nor to mislead the public.
